In the first six months of implementation, Raising the Village conducted 80 trainings across the Nyamabare cluster in core program areas such as Agriculture, Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH), Healthy Households, Livestock, and Health. These trainings are central to Raising the Village’s theory of change, equipping households with the technical knowledge to sustain and diversify livelihoods. With an average attendance of 98%, the strong community investment and commitment to learning are evident. This high level of engagement is fostering effective local leadership, strengthening community structures, and building the foundation for sustained growth and long-term change. As households overcame barriers to participation, they began engaging more in income diversification and growth activities, including agriculture training, access to improved seeds and tools, establishing and strengthening Village Savings and Loan Associations (VSLAs), and forming Collective Marketing Committees. RTV conducted Month 6 Standard Evaluations in June 2025, showing substantial progress in the adoption of best practices: 100% in WASH (up from 57% baseline), 98% in Agriculture (up from 32% baseline), 98% in Financial Literacy and VSLAs (up from 10% baseline), and 90% in Livestock (up from 14% baseline). Ongoing household coaching visits focus on the most vulnerable households, providing customized guidance to reinforce skills and the adoption of best practices. RTV also collaborates closely with local government officials in day-to-day program facilitation, strengthening accountability, supporting vulnerable households, and enabling more efficient coverage
